Becoming a Official
Sports officiating is difficult work that gives extraordinary rewards. Effective officials are mentally and physically quick on their feet, passionate about building relationships and excited to make an impact for sports fans. If this sounds like you, get in touch with us!
As a sports fan, you may come into the world of officiating with a love for the game and a fundamental knowledge of the rules that makes you an authority. As you grow in your career, officiating will teach you to see the games in a totally different light: One that underlines decency, uprightness, definitiveness and good instinct. It’s a challenging and rewarding journey.
Eligibility
We looking for dedicated individuals at Rock Solid Officials, if you’re interested in becoming an official/umpire then you are expected to follow a certain responsibilities. We employ people who are dedicated to being part of the community, enjoy working outdoors, and love the game!
Schedule
Some of our officials want to be assigned four hours a week, and some want to ref 15 or 20. As long as you communicate with us, we’re able to work with your schedule.
Pay
Sports officiating is an excellent way to earn supplemental income while giving back to the community. Rock Solid Officials offers referees between $14 and $22 per hour, depending on level of experience.
Officials are paid on the last day of their officiating assignment by direct deposit or check. All contractors will be issued a 1099 at the end of January should they reach the IRS threshold for income.
