Even though the MSHSL does not require certification to work non-varsity high school games, we strongly recommend that our officials pursue certification. Benefits of certification include:

1. Increased pay rates for MYAS basketball and baseball games.

2. A free background check and concussion training, both of which are required by Minnesota law. 

3. The ability to officiate varsity games. 

4. Access to hands-on training clinics for every MSHSL sport. 

5. Access to the latest Rules/Case Books, which help you stay aware of official changes to game regulations.

Please note: All Rock Solid Officials referees are required to take MSHSL’s mandatory concussion training and will not be allowed to referee games until they provide proof of completing this training.
